Ingredients
1 fried Rice flour – 1 cup
2 coconut oil – 1 tablespoon
3 normal water – 1 1/2 cup
4 salt to taste
for filling
Jaggery – 250 grams
Water – 1/2cup
Ghee – 2 tbsp
cashew nuts – 1 tablespoon
raisins – 1 tablespoon
plantain banana – half
Grated coconut – 1 cup
Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
cumin seed powder – 1/2 tsp
Dry ginger powder – 1/2 tsp
Preparation
Take a pan, add rice flour, water , oil and salt, mix it without lumps and make a smooth batter, transfer the pan to stove top, stir it well, once it become thick dough, turn off flame and keep aside for cool.Roast cashews, kismis and banana in a pan and keep aside.Heat a pan, add melted jaggerry, then add coconut into it, add dry ginger powder, cumin powder and cardamom powder, cook until it become dry.
Take the rice dough, knead again with ghee, take small quantity from it, and put it in banana leaf, apply the dough in a thin layer, add filling, then fold the leaf, after the process steam it for 20 minutes. Soft ilayada is ready.
