Ingredients
semolina-1 cup
curd-1/4 cup
water
salt
onion chopped-2 tbsp
carrot-1 tbsp
cabbage-1 tbsp
ginger chopped
green chilly chopped
salt
curry leaves
chilly powder-1 tsp
turmeric-1/2 tsp
ghee
for coconut chutney
coconut-1 cup
dal
curd-2 tbsp
salt
water
green chilly-2
water-1/4 cup
for seasoning
mustard-1 tsp
urad dal-1 tsp
curry leaves and dry red chilly.
Preparation
In a mixing bowl, add semolina and curd, mix it with a spoon, then add salt and water, mix again and keep aside for 1/2 hrs. Then add more water, chopped vegetables, and masalas, mix all well and make a thick batter. Heat a unniyappam pot, brush ghee, pour batter in each hole, cook it both sides well.
For coconut chutney, grind coconut with dal, chilly, curd and salt, then pour it to a bowl, then season it with mustard, curry leaves, dry chilly and urad dal.
