Chicken Ularthiyath

Ingredients

Chicken —1&1/2 kg (cut in to small pieces )

Onion — 1

Green chilly — 4

Ginger — 1 small piece

Garlic — 20 nos

Tomato — small one

Turmeric powder — 3/4 tsp

Chilli powder — 2 tbsp

Coriander powder — 2 tbsp

Garam masala powder — 2 tsp

Pepper powder — 1 tsp

Coconut shavings —- 1/2 cup

Coconut oil —- 3 tbsp

Curry leaves

Shallots — 20 nos

Mustard seeds — 1/2 tsp

Preparation

Add chicken into a kadai, add onion, green chilly, ginger,garlic, coconut pieces, tomato, masala powders, salt and curry leaves, mix all together and keep aside for 1 hour, now cook the chicken, add 1/2 cup of water, then cook it for 15 minutes, mix well, then add pepper powder and more salt, and cook until the curry become thick. Heat another pan, add coconut oil, after heating it well add mustards, allow it to pop, next add chopped shallots, roast it well, add curry leaves next add chicken, mix well, then cook it 5 more minutes.
