Kappa Vada and chammanthi

Ingredients

for vadai

tapioca-1/2 kg

water

salt

onion-1

ginger

chilly

buttermilk

curry leaves

rice flour-1/4 cup

oil for deep frying

for chammanthi

oil

onion

shallots-12

dry red chilly-6

tomato-1

salt

coconut-1/4 cup

chilly powder-2 tsp

Preparation

For chammanthi, saute all the veggies in oil, then add masalas and salt, after cooking 2 more minutes grind it into fine paste.

For vada, boil tapioca, then after drain it mash it with a laddle, then add chopped veggies, salt, buttermilk and rice flour, combine all with your hand, then make vadai as usual.
