Ingredients

dal

chilly-3

onion-1

ginger

curry leaves

cumin-1/4 tsp

salt

dry red chilly

Oil for frying

for rasam

Tomato -2,

ginger garlic paste-1tsp

Black pepper powder-1tsp

Turmeric powder-1/2tsp

Red chilli powder-3/4tsp

Asafoetida-3/4tsp

Cummin seeds-1/2tsp

tamarind juice -1 table spoon,

Curry leaves & coriander leaves

Salt to taste.

For seasoning.

oil -2 teaspoons.

mustard seeds -1 teaspoon

Soak the dal for an hour. Drain & mix together all other and grind coarsely. Make the ground dal to small balls.Heat oil. Flatten the balls between your palms & drop the vadas to the hot oil.we can put 4 to 6 vadas at one time.Fry them till crispy and golden brown. Remove from flame & keep aside.

In a pan take 3 cups of water. Add chopped tomato and all the ingredients together and Boil for 5 minutes. In a separate pan heat 2 teaspoon oil.Add mustard, 2 broken chillies. when it splutter remove from flame & add to the rasam. Put the vadas in the rasam.
