Ingredients
Red rice ( Chemba Rice )
Coconut
Salt
For kadala curry:-
Kadala(black chana)
Coconut milk
Onion
Garlic
Ginger
green chilli
Tomato
Coconut oil
Curry leaves
Mustard seeds
Dry red chilli
Turmeric powder
Red chilli powder
Coriander powder
Garam masala
Preparation
Soak rice over night, then wash well, and strain out from water and keep about 1 hour. Then grind it to a coarse powder, add salt, then make putt by adding coconut.
For kadalakkari, add soaked chickpea in a pressure cooker, add onion, ginger,chilly,tomato and masalas, add required water and salt, then cook for 3-4 whistle. Add second extract of coconut milk and curry leaves, allow it to boil well, add garam masala, cook until it become thick, next add thick coconut milk and turn off flame. Heat oil in a pan, pop mustards, add curry leaves and dry red chilly, roast it well and add to curry.
