Ingredients
Fish-1 kg
ginger-1 large piece
garlic-10
shallots-10
tomato-2
kashmiri chilly-4 tsp
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
pot tamarind-10 small pieces
salt
coconut oil
curry leaves
fenugreek-1 tsp
mustards-1 tsp
water
fenugreek powder-1/4 tsp
green chilly-6
Preparation
Heat a clay pot, add oil, ginger,garlic, and shallots, saute it well, add masalas and tomato, saute 2 more minutes then grind this mix into fine paste. Heat another pan, add oil, crack fenugreek and mustards,add curry leaves and green chilly, next add grinded masala, saute it for 3-4 minutes, add water, salt and tamarind, allow it to boil, then add fish, cook well, finally add some curry leaves and fenugreek powder.
