Venpongal sambar

Ingredients

moong dal-1/2 cup

shallots-10-15

onion-1

tomato-1

green chilly-3

cumin-1/4 tsp

turmeric-1/2 tsp

sambar powder-3/4 tbsp

hing-1 pinch

mustards-1/2 tsp

coconut oil-2 1/2 tbsp

coriander leaves

salt

Peparation

Soak moong dal for 1/2 hrs. In a pressure cooker add moong dal,shallots,onion,tomato,green chilly,cumin,turmeric, salt water and coconut oil, cook for 2 whistle. Then add sambar powder, allow it to boil, next add coriander leaves and turn off flame. Heat oil in a pan, crack mustards, red chilly,curry leaves and hing, then add into the curry.
