Tea shop Neyyappam

Ingredients

Raw rice- 1 1/2 cup

jaggerry-230 gm

water-3/4 cup

cardamom-6

cumin-1/2 tsp

sesame seeds-1/2 tbsp

ghee-2 tbsp

salt- 3 pinch

coconut oil

coconut

maida-3 1/2 tbsp

Preparation

Soak rice for 8 hrs, melt jaggerry with water, then strain it. Heat ghee in a pan roast coconut pieces until it becomes golden brown. Add rice, cumin, cardamom and melted jaggerry in a mixie jar, grind well then pour into a bowl, add maida into it and mix well, next add, sesame, salt, coconut into it, then rest this batter for 8 hrs.Fry neyyappam in coconut oil.
