Ladies finger sambar

Ingredients

dal-1/2 cup

green chilly-1

tomato-1

turmeric-1/4 tsp

water-1.5 cup

coconut oil

onion-1

curry leaves

garlic-1

ladies finger

tamarind juice-1/2 cup

salt

chilly powder-1/2 tbsp

coriander-1 tbsp

sambar powder-3/4 tbsp

mustards

fenugreek

curry leaves

dry red chilly

asafoetida

Preparation

In a cooker add dal, water, turmeric, tomato, and green chilly then cook for 2-3 whistle, and keep aside. Heat a pan add oil, onion, curry leaves, garlic and okra, then saute well,  add cooked dal into it, next add salt and tamarind juice. Slightly roast all masalas add add into the curry, boil well. Finally temper the sambar with mustards, red chilly, and asafoetida.
