Ingredients:
2 tablespoons gram flour
2 tablespoons rice flour
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri chili powder
1 egg
Water
Salt to taste
Banana flower
Vegetable oil for frying
Preparation
In a bowl, combine gram flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, garam masala, Kashmiri chili powder, egg, and salt. Add water gradually while mixing until a thick batter is formed.Remove the outer layer of the banana flower and separate the individual florets. Wash them thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel. Dip each banana flower in the batter, ensuring it is completely coated. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully drop the coated banana flower into the oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
Remove the fried banana flower from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Serve hot with tea or as a snack.
