Ingredients:
2 cups raw rice

Half cup boiled rice
1 cup water
Coconut flakes
4 small ripe bananas
Cardamom
1/2 cup jaggery
1 cup maida
Baking soda (optional)
Preparation
Soak the rice for 3-4 hrs and then drain the water. Grind the rice with cardamom, banana, boiled rice and jaggery juice. Make a fine paste, add roasted coconut flakes and maida to it. If desired, add baking soda. Let the batter rest for 8 hours.Heat oil in a unniyappam pot and pour in the batter. Cook until golden brown on both sides.
