Vanilla Sponge cake

A classic and versatile cake, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:

3 large eggs

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup veg oil

milk -2 tbsp

Preparation

Beat eggs and sugar: In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
Add dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, mixing until just combined.Add vanilla and oil: Stir in the vanilla extract and melted butter.Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.   Cool: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
