Drum stick leaves and dal curry
Drumstick leaves-4 handful
Tuvar dal (pigeon pea)-50 gm
Chana dal-50 gm
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Coconut-5 tbsp
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Fenugreek-1/4 tsp
Curry leaves
dry chillies-3
shallotss-150 gms
Garlic-20-25
Tomatoes
Salt
Ghee
Preparation
Wash and cook the tuvar dal and chana dal in a pressure cooker with turmeric powder. Clean and wash the drumstick leaves. Grind coconut, cumin seeds, and water in a blender.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, fennel seeds, and curry leaves. Add chopped onions, garlic, green chillies, and saute until fragrant.Add chopped tomatoes and saute until softened. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, and saute for 1 minute.Add drumstick leaves and saute until wilted. Add the ground coconut mixture and saute for 3 minutes.Add cooked dal and water, and simmer until the curry thickens.Add salt and ghee, and serve hot.
