Green peas Curry

Ingredients

1/2 cup of dried green peas,

1/2 coconut,

1/2 tsp turmeric powder,

1 tsp coriander powder,

1/2 tsp garam masala powder,

5-6 shallots,

5-6 garlic cloves,

1 dried red chili

pepper

1/2 tsp cumin seeds.

To make the curry, first soak the green peas in water overnight. Then, cook the green peas in a pressure cooker until soft. Next, blend the coconut, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, shallots, garlic cloves, dried red chili pepper, and cumin seeds into a smooth paste. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add the blended paste and saute until fragrant. Add the cooked green peas and stir well. Cook for a few minutes until the flavors are well combined. Finally, garnish with curry leaves and serve hot with appam, idli, dosa, or chapati.
