Bread fruit Cutlet

Ingredients

bread fruit

oil

onion

ginger garlic

curry leaves

turmeric powder

chili powder

coriander powder

black pepper powder

meat masala powder

garam masala powder

Kashmiri chili (for color)

egg

bread crumbs

Preparation

Clean the breadfruit . The skin and core are removed, and the flesh is cut into small pieces . To prevent the breadfruit from dis coloring, it is soaked in water with salt . After soaking, the breadfruit is boiled with potatoes and turmeric . Once cooked, the breadfruit and potatoes are mashed together .Next, the spices are prepared . Onions are sauteed with oil, curry leaves, ginger, garlic, and chilies . Then, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and Kashmiri chili powder are added .The mashed breadfruit and potato mixture is then combined with the spiced onions . If the mixture seems too wet, bread crumbs can be added to absorb the excess moisture .Eggs are beaten with salt and pepper to create an egg wash . The breadfruit mixture is shaped into patties and then dipped in the egg wash and coated with bread crumbs .The cutlets are then fried in oil until golden brown on both sides .
