A very good combo for breakfast..
Ingredients
for appam
raw rice- 1 cup
coconut-1/4 cup
cooked rice-1/4 cup
sugar- 1 tsp
yeast-1/2 tsp
salt
For green gram curry
Green gram- 1 1/4 cup
turmeric-1/4 tsp
salt
green chilly-3-4
coconut
curry leaves
dry chilly
coconut oil
mustard
Preparation
Soak rice for 3-4 hrs, then grind it with yeast, coconut, sugar, cooked rice and water. Make a fine batter, then keep overnight for raise. Next morning, add salt, then mix well. Now you can make appam.
For curry, take a pressure cooker, then add soaked green gram, add salt, turmeric, water and green chilly, then cook it well. Grind coconut and add to cooked green gram, boil it well, then season the curry with oil, mustard, dry chilly and curry leaves.
