Here a delicious recipe of Malabar style King fish curry.
INGREDIENTS
Fish – ½ kg (After Cleaning)
Hot Water – 2 Cups (500 ml)
Salt ( – 2½ Teaspoon
Coconut Oil – 3 to 4 Tablespoons
Mustard Seeds – ½ Teaspoon
Fenugreek Seeds – ¼ Teaspoon
Ginger – 2 Inch Piece (10 gm)
Garlic – 10 Cloves (15 gm)
Shallots – 15 Nos (75 gm)
Turmeric Powder – ½ Teaspoon
Chilli Powder – 2 Tablespoons
Kashmiri Chilli Powder – 1 Tablespoon
Curry Leaves – 3 Sprigs
PREPARATION
Heat a clay pot, add oil, then add mustard and fenugreek, then let it pop well, next add finely chopped shallots, saute until it turn soft, next add ginger garlic chopped, saute it again, next add green chilly and curry leaves, then add tomato, cook it until it become mushy, now add masala powders, after mixing it well pour tamarind juice and salt, then add required water, let it boil well, add fish this time, boil again 2-3 minutes, now turn off flame, finally add curry leaves and fenugreek powder a pinch.
