Neyyppathiri

Malabar dishes are all very superior in terms of taste. Nei Pathiri is a dish that is good to eat as breakfast. Nei Pathiri is made by kneading rice powder in boiling water, adding coconut, cumin seeds and kneading them. Let’s see how it is prepared.

Rice flour-2cups
Hot water as required
Coconut oil-2tsp
Salt to taste

Prepare a crush of:

Coconut -1cup(grated)
Onion/Shallot -1/2cup
Green chili-1big
Ginger-1inch
Fennel seeds-1/2tsp
Curry leaves

Preparation

Take rice flour in a bowl, add salt, mix it well, then pour hot water, mix with a spoon, let wait the heat gone, then knead it well and make a soft dough, add crushed coconut mix and some oil, mix it again, take a banana leaf, apply oil, then take a large ball of dough, put it in the leaf, then flatten it roundly , after that , drop it in hot oil, fry well.
