Finger millet consumption helps in relaxing body naturally. It is beneficial in conditions of anxiety, depression and insomnia. It is also useful for migraines. Green ragi (finger millet) is recommended for conditions of blood pressure, liver disorders, asthma and heart weakness. So maximum include ragi in our food.
A tasty sweet recipe with ragi..
Take 1 cup of whole ragi, wash it well, then soak it for 4 hrs. Take a mixie jar, add ragi with clean water, then grind it well, then sieve it to a bowl, you may grind it 2-3 times and take maximum extract. Pour the ragi extract water to a pan, then boil it, stirring is important, once it starts thickening, add ghee, then pour jaggerry juice, continue stirring, add ghee frequently until it become transparent and non sticky, now add nuts and cardamom powder, after a mix turn off flame. Take a cantainer, then grease it with ghee, then add sesame seeds and nuts, add the halwa mix after , then tightly set it with a spoon, keep aside for cooling down, then cut it.
