Dosa without urad dal

Dosa is a Malayalee’s favorite breakfast dish. Dosa is prepared by grinding rice and urad dal the day before, but it is possible to prepare good soft dosa without adding urad dal.

First, wash one and a half cup raw rice and one quarter teaspoon of fenugreek seeds and soak them for four hours and then add them to the mix jar. Grind everything well and leave the batter to rise. The next morning, add salt to the well-risen batter and mix it. Then pour oil in a pan in the oven, When hot add mustard and curry leaves and pop well and add to the batter and mix well to make dosa.
