If you have a cup of pachari, you can grind it without soda powder and bake unniyappam immediately. There is no one who does not like unniappam. How about having hot unniappam with tea at four o’clock? Very good. Home-made unniyappam tastes better than store-bought. There is a trick to bake unniyappam without baking soda immediately after grinding. The preparation method is given below.
Ingredients
•Pachari – one cup
•Banana – 1 no
•Grilled coconut – 1/4 cup
•Rice – 1/2 cup
•Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
•Salt – a pinch
•Jaggery – 200 grams
•Water – 1/2 cup
• Grated coconut – 1/2 cup
•Ghee – 1 tbsp
•Sesame – 1 tbsp
•Coconut oil – enough for frying
How to prepare
• After washing the greens well, pour water for horseradish and keep it aside for three hours.
• In a pan add 1/4 cup water and dissolve the jaggery. After straining it can be kept aside to cool well. Pour ghee in another pan and roast coconut and sesame seeds.
Add soaked rice, coconut, rice, cold jaggery pani, banana, salt and cardamom powder in a large mixing bowl and grind well. After pouring it into a bowl, add coconut, sesame seeds fried in ghee and mix well and fry unniapam in hot oil.
