Ghee Rice is a classic and super aromatic South Indian meal made with rice, Ghee, whole spices, onions, cashews and raisins. Ghee rice is one of the favorite dishes of Malayalees and is the main dish at parties. Here is a recipe for a goodghee rice cooked by frying rice and covering it with banana leaves.
Ingredients
Small rice. -5 cup
Coconut oil. -50 ml
Onion. -1
Some whole spices.
Water -7 cup
Salt.
coconut milk. -3-4 tbsp
Onion.
cashews and raisins.
Ghee.
Preparation
Heat a large pan, pour coconut oil, then add spices, after roasting it well add onion, saute all well, then add washed and draine d rice, mix all until the rice slightly crispy, then pour water, add salt, then cook it well, cover it with banana leaves , once the rice is cooked enough, add coconut milk, fried onion, cashews and raisings, and ghee, combine well before serving.
