Onam celebration is very near, everybody is busy to arrange the celebration. Sadya making is important part of the celebration, each dish should be delicious and authentic. Thick dal curry is a famous sadya dish, lets check how to make it perfectly.
Ingredients
green gram dal-1 cup
water-2-3 cup
salt
coconut oil
coconut-1 cup
green chilly-1
garlic-1
cumin-1 tsp
curry leaves
Preparation
Dry roast dal in a pan, then wash it well, take a pressure cooker, add the dal, water, salt and coconut oil, cook it for 2-3 whistle. Grind coconut with cumin, garlic, green chilly and some water, add this paste to cooked dal, add water if required, then let it boil, once it become thick enough, turn off flame and add some curry leaves.
