Fish Ada

Ingredients

fish -1/2 kg

for grinding

coconut-1/2 cup

fennel-1/2 tsp

onion-1/2

turmeric

coriander powder-2 tsp

garlic

chilly powder-1/2 tsp

oil

onion

garlic

green chilly

tomato-2

salt

For ada

rice flour

for grinding

grated coconut

green chilly-2

onion

curry leaves and coriander leaves

cumin

fennel

turmeric

salt

Preparation

Marinate fish with salt, turmeric and chilly powder, then keep aside. Take a mixie jar, add ingredients grinding for masala, and make a fine paste. Heat oil in a pan, add onion, ginger, garlic and green chilly, saute it well, then add tomato and salt, cook until it become soft, next add coconut paste, after boiling it well add marinated fish, cook the mix until it become thick, then turn off flame.

For dough, grind items in the list, then add it to the rice flour, knead it well and make a smooth dough. Take a banana leaf, add small quantity of the dough, put another banana leaf above the dough, press it with your palms, then add filling, fold the leaf one side to another, after whole dough is finished, steam it in idli steamer.
