Perfect Unniyappam

Ingredients

Raw rice – 1 cup –

Cumin seed – 1 tsp –

Cardamom – 4 –

Palayankodan banana – 2

Jaggery – 120 g.

coconut – 25 g

Sesame seeds – 1/2 tbsp

Coconut OIL

Salt

Water

Preparation

Soak rice for 6 hrs, then dry it by wiping rice with a cloth, then transfer it to a mixie jar, add cardamom, cumin, and salt, grind it into fine powder. Melt jaggerry, grind banana into fine paste, add to powdered rice, then add jaggerry melted, mix well, add sesame seeds and roasted coconut, combine well. Heat oil in unniyappam pot, pour batter in each holes, fry both sides well.
