Tomato Murukk

Ingredients

Tomato — 2 nos

rice flour — 1 cup

gram flour –½ cup

chilli powder — 1 teaspoon

kashmiri chilli powder — 1 teaspoon

cumin seeds — 1/2 teaspoon

asafoetida powder — 1/4 teaspoon

unsalted butter — 1 ½ tablespoon

garlic — 1

salt

oil

Preparation

Grind tomato and garlic together, then strain it to a bowl. Take another bowl, add rice flour, chilly powder, cumin, gram flour, hing and salt, mix all well, add melted butter, then agradually add tomato puree, knead it well and make soft dough, fill the dough in idiyappam maker, then press it to hot oil, fry the murukk until it become crispy.
