Ingredients
3/4 cup kadala / channa / chickpea
onion 1 medium sized
green chilli
ginger
garlic
curry leaves
coriander powder 4 tsp
kasmiri chilli powder 2 tsp
pepper powder 3/4 tsp
turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
fennel powder 1/2 tsp
salt
grated coconut
garam masala 3/4 tsp
oil
mustard
dry red chilli
coconut bits
curry leaves
salt
Preparation
Add soaked chickpea in a pressure cooker, add onion, ginger, green chilly, garlic, curry leaves, masala powders, salt, and water, cover the cooker and cook it for 5-6 whistle. Grind coconut with water and add to cooked chickpea, then boil it until it become slightly thick. Finally temper it with mustard, dry chilly, curry leaves, shallot and coconut piece.
