Marble cake
Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/4 cup sunflower oil
1 1/2 cup maida
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 pinches salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Preparation
In a mixer jar, combine sugar, eggs, vanilla essence, and sunflower oil. Blend until well combined. Add maida, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and milk. Mix until just combined. Divide the batter into two bowls. In one bowl, add cocoa powder and mix until well combined. Grease a frying pan with oil and line it with butter paper. Pour a spoonful of vanilla batter into the center of the pan. Top with a spoonful of chocolate batter. Continue layering the batters in a circular motion until the pan is full. Use a toothpick to swirl the batters together to create a marble effect. Heat a tawa or griddle on medium heat. Place the frying pan on the tawa. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Reduce the heat to low and continue cooking until the cake is fully cooked.
