Neypayasam:
Ingredients:
300 grams powdered jaggery
½ cup water
1 tablespoon ghee
1 tablespoon almonds
¼ cup split chickpeas
1 tablespoon raisins
Preparation
Melt the jaggery in a pan with water. Heat ghee in another pan and add almonds, split chickpeas, and raisins. Add the jaggery mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well. Cook until the ingredients are coated with the jaggery mixture. Serve hot or cold.
Aval Kesari:
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon ghee
1 tablespoon almonds
1 tablespoon raisins
1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
1 cup flattened rice
¾ cup grated coconut
2 cups milk
¾ cup powdered jaggery
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
Preparation
Heat ghee in a pan and add almonds, raisins, and black sesame seeds. Add flattened rice and coconut and cook until fragrant. Add milk and bring to a boil. Add jaggery and cardamom powder and cook until the jaggery melts. Serve hot or cold.
Aval Vilaiyichathu:
Ingredients:
1 cup flattened rice
1 tablespoon ghee
½ cup jaggery
1 cup water
Preparation
Heat ghee in a pan and add flattened rice. Add jaggery and water and cook until the jaggery melts. Serve hot or cold.
