Banana Pola, super tasty banana snack, its a famous Malabar snack
INGREDIENTS
banana – 2
egg – 4
sugar – 4 tbsp
cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
salt – a pinch
cashews – 1tbsp
raisins – 1 tbsp
ghee – 2 tbsp
chop banana into small cubes. heat a pan and add 1 tbsp ghee. saute cashews and raisins till it becomes golden color…remove that to a plate. to the same pan add chopped banana and saute till the color changes…
add a tbsp of sugar and saute gently till the golden color appears here and there on banana pieces..
transfer it to a plate and let it cool…by the time, to a mixer jar, add egg, milk, sugar cardamom powder and blend for 30 seconds at low speed…pour this to a bowl. add sauted banana and half of roasted cashews and raisins, mix gently till everything combine.heat a sauce pan and add half a teaspoon of ghee pour the egg banana mix place it on a hot tawa and cook for 10 minutes in low flame…open the lid and place the rest of the raisins and cashews on the top of the pola… close the lid and cook for another 20 minutes in low flame…
after 30 minutes (altogether) flip the pola into a pan and cook for 5 more minutes on the other side…
yummy banana pola is ready …
